Latido

Wedding venues in Hungary

The venue is the first and biggest decision: it sets the date, the guest ceiling and close to half of the budget. Browse wedding venues across Hungary here in one place — castles and manor houses, barns, wineries, lakeside and garden venues, restaurants and event houses — with photos, capacity, prices and a map.

Every venue publishes its own storefront and you can ask it for a quote through Latido. Once you book, the venue gets a login to your shared wedding plan: it sees the run-sheet, the seating chart and the final headcount instead of you emailing them again.

What to look for

  1. 01Guest count and layout: how many it seats comfortably (not "fits"), and whether ceremony, dinner and party have their own space or the room has to be turned around mid-evening.
  2. 02What the price includes: room hire, basic décor, sound, security, cleaning, closing time and the overrun fee. Ask for the itemised list in writing.
  3. 03Food and drink: in-house kitchen or outside caterer? Corkage, cake-cutting fee, midnight menu and drinks package options — the biggest line after the venue itself.
  4. 04Rooms and access: guest accommodation on site or nearby, parking, transfers, and the rain plan for an outdoor ceremony.
  5. 05Deposit and cancellation: in Hungary a foglaló (unlike an előleg) is forfeited if you cancel — ask about the amount, the payment schedule and the terms for moving the date.

Common questions

How far ahead should we book a wedding venue?
Popular venues fill peak-season (May–September) Saturdays 12–18 months out; a Friday or Sunday, or the shoulder season, is usually fine 6–9 months ahead and often cheaper.
Castle, barn or restaurant — how do we choose?
Style is yours; practicality decides. Barns and gardens come with an outdoor ceremony and a relaxed feel but need a rain plan and often outside catering; castles and hotels give you everything from one hand; a restaurant is the most predictable kitchen for a smaller party.

Plan the wedding with them, not around them

Add the vendors you like to a shared plan — your partner sees the same list, and every vendor you book gets a login to the parts they need: the run-sheet, the seating, their own tasks and files.
